Grandma Sarah fondly known as Grampy is on the moon today. She is all set to make that maiden solo trip at the age of 65.As she ticks off her checklist, she suddenly realises she has no comfy canvas shoes with her.
The family starts suggesting buying a pair, borrowing it from Mary,Lina or someone else. The house is in a frenzy now when little John comes out with this dusty pair of shoes, filled with cobwebs. Grampy isn’t this what you wore on your honeymoon?Grampy smiles as she cleans them and puts them on,its time to take on the world now.

One day I’m sure we will all be packing our bags for a vacation on the moon. Nicely told.

I thought it was cute at age 65 she still has the shoes she wire on her honeymoon and they still fit.😊 She sounds like one who likes to tackle new things.

How do you do it Akshata? What a quantum leap from earth to the moon in creativity! And that too all in 💯 words!!! I am yet to write on this but you seem already light years ahead in your style and sheer visualisation of what was just a dusty pair of 👠!!! Way to go.

Loved it Aks for the love and excitement in it; granny on the moon is a new notion for me; though with the space age innovations in our world, this will be a reality soon!

Thx Shalz! Though I hear many readers talking about her trip on the moon, when I wrote it- it was meant to express her happiness- on the moon. I like this interpretation too!

It’s my first time here. Grampy sounds like a sweet character. Looking forward to reading more about her if you intend to write about her in your future posts.
