The 3 of them stood in front of the painting, looking at it intently. Women’s Day had started off with a visit to the art exhibition , they had plans of lunch at the new Mexican restaurant followed by a shopping spree.
Nisha was the first one to break the silence ” To me, here is a girl who has finally found her home. After running around all over, she has realised this is where she belongs”.
(The break up with Karan and the decision of not chasing love anymore but learning to love herself and be comfortable in her own company is what she had decided last night. After multiple break ups, she knew it want really her fault but perhaps not their either, this was not meant to be. She had to first learn to love herself. Last night , she was alone at home, but not lonely after a long long time.)
“She doesn’t belong here any longer, look at the palatial palace and the girl who seems so out of place, but she has no choice, she is trapped” remarked Rema, a hint of sadness in her eyes.
( After catching Suresh red handed with a escort, despite him promising he will not do this again, she was heartbroken. But she had to stay back- what would people think, how would her kids take it? She might be an independant , modern woman with the means to fend for herself and her kids, but what respect would a divorced woman get in society? I am trapped within the confines of this house, where I don’t belong but must still stay”)
Suchi had creases of worry on her brow “Gals look at the spotless clean house, all I am thinking right now is how can I find the maid who keeps the house so shining and white. My maid and I had a brawl and the gift I badly want this Women’s Day is a new maid!”
‘I’m Writing Bravely for the Write Tribe Festival of Words – March 2019’. I have used the photo prompt today.

Brilliant take. Each one of us takes on a situation according to ones perspective

Three dimensions of the two dimensional painting! Wonderful thought Akshata.
Between, Suchi appears to me as the bestie of Mrs ChitterChatter 😉
Wishing you a very happy Women’s day. More power to your out of box thinking and to your pen, Akshata.
