Accused of being a bad mother, one who worked leaving her kids at the mercy of maids, drank and partied till late hours and she had the audacity of leveling charges against her “good” husband.
As the prosecutor grilled her and questioned her capabilities as a mother, her little daughter cowered in her seat looking at her “good” father as she recounted the years of trauma he had inflicted upon her by violating her body.
(This micro tale is a reflection of the court case which Suja Jones is fighting against her husband Pascal Mazurier who has been accused of raping their 8 year old daughter. The accused was acquitted for lack of evidence and the mother was questioned and labelled as an irresponsible parent who parties and drinks which again proves the misogyny and stereotypes deep entrenched in our society)
