Creases of worry appeared on Rohan’s forehead as he spoke to Malti on the phone

A sudden phone call in the middle of the night from Malti’s childhood friend Sulakshana had suddenly turned things topsy turvy for the family. Sulu was going to get hitched in a fortnight but something had gone terribly wrong all of a sudden

Rohan was worried. His parents and sister were arriving in 2 days and the house would be full.

And now Malti had called saying that she would have to stay back for 2 more days. He looked at the messy house, kids playing all around, the utensils piled up in the sink and grit his teeth.

Malti hung up and whistled loudly. “Time to enjoy your hen party Su, that was a brilliant story you cooked up else I would be running around cleaning the mess and cooking meals for 10 people at home. I cant wait to explore Tahiti, can someone open a bottle of champagne please?”

Liking up with Priceless Joy who hosts a Flash Fiction Challenge for Aspiring writers.
